Expression of Interest – Join the Central Coast Pathfinder Club
Thank you for your interest in the Central Coast Pathfinder Club! Pathfinders is a worldwide youth program run by the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and we are proud to be the largest Pathfinder Club in Australia. Our club provides young people aged 10-16 with the opportunity to participate in a wide range of exciting and challenging activities, including camping, hiking, abseiling, biking, kayaking, and fundraising events. While similar to Scouts, our focus goes beyond outdoor adventure. We aim to mentor young people in their spiritual growth, helping them develop a deeper relationship with God through spiritually-based courses and hands-on experiences.
We meet regularly for Club Nights at the Central Coast Adventist School (CCAS), Penrose Crescent, Erina, and hold several camps throughout the year. For more information, please refer to our 2025 calendar for planned dates.
The Pathfinder program is divided into seven age-level groups:
- Friends (Yr 5) NB Our Friends unit has reached capacity. To be added to a wait list, please contact the Unit Leader, Greg Kelman via email: greg.kelman@kincumbervet.com.au
- Companions (Yr 6)
- Explorers (Yr 7)
- Rangers (Yr 8)
- Voyagers (Yr 9)
- Guides (Yr 10)
- Master Guides (Yr 11 & 12) – restricted to Pathfinders who have been invested through each of the younger units.
As part of the Pathfinder Club, each member commits to living by the Pathfinder Pledge and Law:
Pathfinder Pledge:
Loving the Lord my God, I will
- Daily seek His presence
- Show friendship to others
- Keep the Pathfinder Law
- And honour my country
Pathfinder Law:
The Pathfinder Law is for me to:
- Look for the good in others
- Aim to do my best
- Love and respect my family
- Be thankful for what I have
- Preserve God’s creation
- Take care of my health
- Be involved in my church
- Go where He sends
Registration Fees:
- Friends to Guides units: $130
- Master Guide unit: $45
Please note that our club units are limited to a maximum of 30 children per group for safety and logistical reasons. Priority will be given to returning Pathfinders, siblings of returning Pathfinders, Adventure alumni, SDA church members, and Pathfinders transferring from other clubs. If we are unable to accommodate your child, we will notify you and offer a full refund of any registration fees paid.
By submitting this Expression of Interest, you are indicating your desire to join the Central Coast Pathfinder Club. Once your interest is received and your child can be accommodated, we will send you a registration form to create a complete profile for your child, collect the necessary information, and guide you through the process of registering and selecting membership and uniform options.
We look forward to welcoming your child into our vibrant club and helping them grow in their faith and character!
If you have any questions or need further assistance during this process, please don’t hesitate to contact your unit leader. For new members, feel free to reach out to our club secretary, Liia, at 0421 078 558.
