To support your nomination, please provide evidence of support. This evidence should include dates, events and places as appropriate, referring to service and evidence since the Nominee’s most recent award. This may include:
1. Extra mile service over and above the nominees appointed role; or
2. Building the scouting community at group, region or branch level; or
3. Developing and implementing new ideas for improved scouting outcomes; or
4. Demonstratied outcomes of the nominees service; or
5. Demonstrated leadership which has inspired enthusiasm among others.
SAMPLE NOMINATIONS
Uniformed Leader
Sally began her Scouting career as AJSL at Example Scout Group in 2018. In 2019 she became AJSL at Example Scout Group. Sally is a conscientious, dedicated Joey Leader. Sally provides fun and exciting Joey programs that deliver the mission, aims and principles of scouting and actively engages the youth members. The Joey unit has tripled in size since she became a Leader. Sally has given focus to the range of learning needs in the Joey section, ensuring all youth members experience positive outcomes from scouting.
In addition to her role in Joeys, Sally has also supported many Cub camps to assist our Cub Leaders. Sally is an active contributor at Group Council, planning the linking joeys to cubs to align with individual development needs. For praiseworthy service to the scouting community, Sally is nominated for the Special Service Award.
Committee Member
Joe joined Example Scout Group in 2014 as an Adult Helper and in 2016 became Chair of the Group Committee. Joe has supported the administration of Example Scout Group, through establishing a financial plan and annual budgets. He has supported the Group Leader providing highly valued advice on group planning issues for the scout hall, equipment requirements and leader recruitment. Joe is an active contributor in the cubs section, attending camps, helping to pack trailers, set up and dismantle equipment, providing transport, and is known for his excellent camp cooking. Joe served with distinction as kitchen captain at the 2014 and 2017 ACT Cuborees. During a Cub Unit meeting, Joe can be found checking progress of the various projects being managed through the Group Committee. Joe has assisted the Property & Assets Committee to streamline communications and the grant applications process. For meritorious and praiseworthy service to the scouting community, Joe is nominated for the Meritorious Service Award.
